Distinguishing characteristics
  • Distinctive deep bell and a dense border of tentacles.
Distribution
  • Worldwide distribution, having been found in Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans.
  • Although specimens collected worldwide have been placed in the species T. nutricola, there is a suggestion that the Pacific specimens belong to a different species.
