If you want to be a part of the largest concentration of marine scientists in the southern hemisphere and want to make a difference in the sustainable management of living marine resources, then you need to talk to us
The recently established Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) will incorporate the Tasmanian Aquaculture and Fisheries Institute (TAFI), a partnership between the Tasmanian Government and the University of Tasmania which focuses on the development and sustainable management of fisheries and aquaculture in Australia and the region. Research extends from fishery assessment and harvest strategies, aquaculture development and coastal and estuarine ecology to biodiversity conservation and marine protected areas.
We provide unprecedented support and access to marine research programs for the best and brightest students and in fact Oceans of Opportunity!
